1.Were you active prior to Cross Fit?
Yes we both did different activities Chris played Racquetball and I did Pilates and Pure Barre, we actually met in a gym and tried some other stuff at home on our own before coming to CFV.
2. When did you first start doing Cross Fit?
January 2013
3. What were your thoughts after your first workout?
I came to a free intro class and loved it came home talked to Chris and we signed up for foundations classes I was all in and Chris agreed to do it for four months because I wanted to and he was not in love with it, after we got into the actual classes then he was hooked!!
4. What do you enjoy the most about Cross Fit?
We enjoy all aspects of Cross Fit from the WODs to the community it has really gotten us fit and encouraged us to maintain a level of health and fitness that we both like!!
5. What were your goals when you first started?
Our goal was to find something we could do together that we both enjoyed and got us fit, that we did not have to put a lot of thought into that wasn’t a typical gym.
What are they now?
I continue to move forward in maintaining and bettering my general health strength and fitness level turning 50 this year makes me want to be as fit as possible. Chris is moving into a higher level to try and see what the possibilities are for his strength and fitness.
6. What is your favorite Cross Fit movement?
Elle: box jumps and deadlifts
Chris: Kettlebell swings (American)
7. What is your least favorite movement?
Elle: Thrusters of course!!
Chris: Turkish get up
8. What kind of nutrition plan do you follow and has that changed since you started Cross Fit?
We are 100% paleo or at least 90/10 we had tried Paleo before and liked it so when the challenge came around again this year we went strict then added a few things back in but still maintain a rather tight paleo diet.
9. Talk about your results from doing Cross Fit?
Other then the being sore aspect all the time, hee-hee; we feel like we are definitely in the best shape of our lives life. WE have increased lean body mass reduced fat increased strength and stamina and generally feel better and have more energy.
