Since opening Vitality over 3 years ago, rowing has been a staple of the way I program here for the group classes. I am convinced that it is an amazing tool that produces results. We have decided to do a 6-week Rowing Clinic that will provide the tools necessary to increase your efficiency and understanding of the rower. The rower shouldn’t be feared when seen in a workout, like anything else in CrossFit, with the proper form, you will see a noticeable improvement in your times.
What: During the 12 sessions, we will cover a number of different topics. We will talk about rowing technique, how to use your damper setting, why the stroke rate is important, how to apply these rowing techniques to WODs, what role mobility plays in rowing, and video analysis of your technique.
Starts: Thursday, September 26
When: Thursdays @ 6:15p
Saturdays @ 8:15a
Who: The clinic will be capped at 11 athletes
Where: CrossFit Vitality
Why: This is a course that can apply to many different types of people. If you are someone who HATES to row, this course is definitely for you! Let’s figure out why you don’t enjoy rowing and fix it. If you enjoy rowing, then this is a great opportunity for you to learn how to apply rowing in workouts and learn about pacing strategies. If you are looking to compete in the Open, with a desire to make it to Regionals, rowing will be a staple at the Regional level and there will be no room for inefficiencies at that level.
