We will be running a 3-part Gymnastics series at Vitality on the 1st 3 Thursdays in November. They will take place November 2nd, November 9th, and November 16th. Each class will be 60-75 minutes long and will begin at 7:15p. Classes will be taught by Michelle Basnett who has an extensive Gymnastics background.
The goal of this clinic is to develop proficiency in the foundational movements needed for Muscle-Ups. This class will be capped at 14 athletes so that individual attention can be given to everyone.
Who is this for?
This series is for someone who has pull-ups but wants to take the next step in getting a Muscle-Up. Classes will provide athletes with the supplemental strength work that can help them get closer to the Muscle-Up. This is also for those that already have Muscle-Ups. For these folks, working on efficiency and cleaning up the movement will be extremely beneficial in building volume with the Muscle-Up. The skills/drills will have carryover to many other gymnastics movements. You won’t want to miss out on this!
For this particular series, Michelle will have a requirement of 5 Kipping Pull-ups in order to attend this series. She will be running an additional clinic later this Winter that will involve the tools necessary to get your first pull-up. However, for this series, each attendee will need to have a minimum of 5 kipping pull-ups so that they can fully benefit from the skills/drills that Michelle has planned for everyone.
The cost of the series is $50. To get signed up, send Laura an email (laura@crossfitvitality.com) and she will add you to the list. Spots will go fast, once it’s full, the registration will be closed. Because the class is capped, there will be no refunds for missed classes or if you are unable to attend.
This is going to be an awesome series and I am confident that Michelle is going to make some amazing progress with your Bar and Ring Muscle-Up Proficiency as well as giving you homework that you can do on your own in order to get closer to the Muscle-Up.
